Professor Andrzej Demenko is Head of Division of Mechatronics and Electrical Machines at Poznan University of Technology, Poland. Since 1970 he has been employed in research and education. He has published 5 books and over 230 conference and journal papers on electromagnetics, electrical machines, numerical methods and applied physics. Currently, he is engaged in the research on the three dimensional finite element analysis and synthesis of energy saving drives with electrical machines.

He is a vice chairman of Polish Society for Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering, a chairman of Commission of Electrical Science in Poznań Branch of Polish Academy of Science, a chairman of International Steering Committee of EPNC Symposium and a member of Steering Committees or Editorial Boards of major international conferences on electrical machines and electromagnetic field computation.
